Spring Yoga Retreat Day
Sunday 26th March 2023 10am – 4.30pm
This is the third in a series of seasonal retreat days this time providing support for Spring. We will be delving into Ayurvedic tips and self-care practices to help you balance the heaviness & sluggishness of ‘Kapha’ that can build over Winter. As we move from the Yin of Winter we open into the Yang of Spring. Energy is beginning to move and awaken – it is time for us to do the same. This day retreat will show you how to do just that!
The day will combine wisdom from the traditions of Yoga, Ayurveda and TCM with morning and afternoon yoga practices to support Spring Wellness, Diet, Nutrition & herbs for this season, and how to detox the Ayurveda way. A healthy, wholesome lunch will be provided with snacks and drinks throughout the day.
A perfectly planned day of Spring self-care, support and wellbeing.
The day will comprise of:
Yoga practices in the Morning and Afternoon
AM – Re-Energise, Detox, Get Body & Breath Moving …Our morning practice will be more stimulating and energising with the use of specific acupressure points to help to create more clarity & vision for the expression of Springs energy.
PM – A more relaxed afternoon yoga session as we settle into some yin & restorative. The culmination of the days practices will end with guided meditation and relaxation.
Breathwork & Meditation
Throughout the day time for with working with the breath and meditation to harness the creative energy of the Spring. We will turn our attention towards letting go of habits that may hold us back and find clarity around where we are going and what we want to bring forwards into the rest of the year.
A wholesome, healthy, vegetarian lunch provided by the fabulous Unity Yard will be sure to fill you up and keep you going for the rest of the day
Ayurveda For Spring
A look into Ayurvedic support for Spring: Herbs, Diet & Nutrition, the Dinacharya, (daily rituals), Ama & Agni : How to recognize your imbalance and how to balance it (Toxins & Digestive Fire)
All yoga equipment, food and drink is provided throughout the day. You will receive a FREE goodie bag a printed workbook with info from the day.
